6th Annual Men’s Choir Festival
Saturday – October 13, 2018
8:30am – 5:00pm
Hosted by the UConn Glee Club
Calling all singing men! – Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of something BIG, The UConn Brothers Sing On! – Men’s Choir Festival. This is the 6th annual festival and we expect a huge crowd. Last year’s festival choir included over 160 basses and tenors singing together (anyone singing bass or tenor is welcome to join us). Hosted by the UConn Glee Club and its new director, Joshua East, this is an opportunity for bass and tenor singers from grade 9 through adult to come to UConn for the day and make music together with UConn students and singers from throughout the Northeast. Special guests include the UConn male a cappella groups: CDN (Completely Different Note) and The Conn Men, as well as Final Cut, the Ledyard high School’s Men’s Choir, the Silk City Barbershop Chorus, UConn’s voice professor Rod Nelman, and of course, the Brothers Sing On! Festival Chorus directed by Dr. Jamie Spillane. It is a powerful, joyful day of community and support of male singing at all levels. Please follow the link below for registration information. This is an event not to miss!
Brothers Sing On! – Edvard Grieg
Good Night – Matthew Emery (purchase the SSA/TTB octavo – Bass 2 part will be sent to directors)
Bonse Aba – Andrew Fisher
UConn Alma Mater – Old Connecticut – Davis (sent to directors)
The participation fee is $15.00 per singer and includes a Brothers Sing On! festival t-shirt.
