Pianist Sangwoo Park, originally from Seoul, South Korea, has distinguished himself through performances that combine refined musicianship, expressive sensitivity, and a broad artistic perspective. His musical training began at the Academy of the Arts and the preparatory program of the Korea National University of Arts before he attended Seoul Arts High School. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Music degree from Seoul National University, his Master of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music, and a Professional Studies Diploma from the Mannes School of Music.

Throughout his career, Park has appeared in numerous performances and competitions in South Korea and abroad, earning recognition in national competitions and participating in international competitions. His artistic interests encompass a wide range of solo and collaborative repertoire, with a particular affinity for the expressive and coloristic possibilities of the piano. In Korea, he has also been an active member of the PhAH Piano Research Society, participating regularly in performances and scholarly and artistic activities.

Park is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at the University of Connecticut, where he studies with Dr. Angelina Gadeliya and serves as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Music. At UConn, he remains active as both a solo and collaborative pianist while continuing to develop his work as a performer, educator, and scholar.
