The Concert Band is made up of students throughout the university campus who play wind and percussion instruments. This ensemble provides a great opportunity for those who have participated in band at some time but chose not to major in music. The concert band represents a true cross section of the university academic majors. Recently performed repertoire includes works by Soichi Konagaya, Norman Dello Joio, Derek Bourgeois, Francis McBeth, and Gustav Holst.

The band performs a variety of music ranging from contemporary to the standard ensemble literature. The Concert Band meets in the spring semester only. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m..
