Programs of Interest
Performer’s Certificate
The Performer’s Certificate is a one-year program with a focus on applied lessons with a professor, ensemble work, and chamber music. No academic courses are required. English as a Second Language courses are available nearby. This option is a particularly good way to begin your music studies in the U.S. while developing your English skills in preparation for applying to graduate programs.
Master’s Programs
The Department of Music offers master’s programs in performance (including conducting), music history, and music theory. Assistantships are available for qualified students.
Doctoral Programs
The Department of Music offers the Doctor of Musical Arts in performances (including conducting) and the Doctor of Philosophy in Music History and Theory. Assistantships are available for qualified students.
Undergraduate Programs
Our undergraduate degree offerings include the Bachelor of Arts in Music with no emphasis, music history emphasis, or jazz studies emphasis; Bachelor of Music in composition, performance, or theory; and an integrated bachelor’s/master’s program in music education.
